Authorities search for woman who allegedly abducted her daughter from school

Spring Valley, CA–San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating a missing six-year-old girl who was allegedly taken from Kempton Elementary School in Spring Valley by her biological mother on February 22.

The girl, Joylin Gutierrez was reportedly taken from Kempton Elementary School around 1:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Kempton Street.

The child is believed to be with her biological, non-custodial parent, 45-year-old Wendy Gutierrez. They were last seen around 4 p.m. in the area near East Plaza Boulevard and South Harbison Avenue in National City.

Joylin Gutierrez is a Hispanic girl standing 3 feet tall with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink or purple sweater.

Wendy Gutierrez is a Hispanic woman standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds with bright blue hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has seen Wendy Gutierrez and her daughter is urged to call 9-1-1, or the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200.
