Orange County, CA–An investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Organized Retail Crime Task Force resulted in the recovery of more than $200,000 in stolen LuLulemon merchandise.

On June 6, CHP investigators assigned to Border Division’s task force intercepted a shipment of stolen Lululemon products. Investigators were alerted to three large boxes containing Lululemon products shipped from Ohio and destined for an apartment complex in La Habra, CA. The investigators delivered the stolen Lululemon merchandise to the apartment and noticed several other similar boxes. The investigators were able to obtain a search warrant based upon their observations coupled with additional evidence uncovered during the investigation.

A total of 16 boxes filled with stolen Lululemon leggings were located inside the apartment. Investigators seized 1,861 stolen items with a retail value of $203,688. The merchandise was stolen from various Lululemon locations throughout the country including stores in Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

According to Lululemon representatives, this is the largest recovery of stolen items in the company’s history.

The investigation is ongoing.
