Crime Stoppers offers reward of up to $1,000 for information on fugitive who attacked U.S. Marshal

San Diego, CA–San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information on the location of a fugitive who allegedly assaulted a deputy U.S. Marshal during a warrant service Wednesday in El Cajon, authorities said.

Investigators from the San Diego Fugitive Task Force and asking for assistance from the public in locating 32-year-old Nofel Noel Suleyman. 

On January 25, the San Diego Fugitive Task Force attempted to apprehend Suleyman at his residence, in the 1100 block of Persimmon Avenue. Suleyman is wanted for federal probation violation and has a criminal history consisting of robbery, assault, and narcotics sales, according to authorities.  

When officers attempted to arrest Suleyman, they made several announcements, however, Suleyman fled from the rear of the residence. A deputy U.S. Marshal pursued Suleyman over the backyard fence, at which time Suleyman kicked the officer, causing an injury to him. Suleyman fled the area and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Suleyman is Middle-Eastern, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs around 150 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He has been known to frequent the East County area. However, he is also known to frequent downtown San Diego.

Anyone with information on the location of Suleyman should call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
