RAINBOW–Three people were arrested after an illegal marijuana dispensary in North County was shut down.

Marquest Jackson, 27, Abdulwahab Ahmed, 30, and Demetrius Charlot, 28, were arrested and booked at the Vista Detention Facility on drug-related charges.

Members of the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Detail served a search warrant at 7 a.m. in the 3100 block of Rainbow Valley Boulevard in Rainbow on February 26.

The warrant is part of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team and the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation Crime Suppression Team in connection with two shooting incidents at the location that happened in January and October of last year.

The items  seized during the search included: 117 pounds of marijuana, 195 pounds of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and vape products, 333 pounds of THC infused edibles, 256 THC infused drinks, $24,155 in cash, 3 guns, and 1 ballistic vest.

The structure was not permitted and posed an extreme hazard to anyone who entered the building, according to authorities. County Code Compliance says the building was not structurally sound and noted exposed wires which pose a significant fire hazard. The danger was so extreme, County Code Compliance asked Southern California Edison to cut off power to the entire property. County Code Compliance is also looking into condemning the building.
