Magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes North San Diego County

San Diego County–A preliminary magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported near Palomar Observatory Sunday morning in the North County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The 9:46 a.m. quake was centered 17.6 miles southeast of Temecula but was felt in Escondido, Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside, and the San Diego region.

There were no reports of injuries or damages to structures in the area.
