Spring Valley, CA–A 29-year-old woman was found dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex Thursday in Spring Valley, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at around 11:55 p.m. to an apartment in the 1600 block of Canyon Drive for a report of a woman calling for help. When deputies arrived, they found the woman unresponsive in the parking lot. She had traumatic injuries to her body, according to authorities. Deputies and firefighters conducted lifesaving measures on the woman, but she died of her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Kandynn Taylor Wilson, was located and arrested a few blocks from the scene. He was booked into the San Diego Central Jail for one count of murder.
The identity of the woman is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin by the Medical Examiner’s Office. The motive is still under investigation.
