Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash in North County

Escondido, CA–An Escondido man was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle and a pickup truck collided in an intersection in North County, authorities said.
The traffic collision occurred at around 5:19 p.m. at Washington Avenue and Rock Springs Road in Escondido.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The pickup truck driver was uninjured.
According to Escondido police, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and the cause is under investigation.
