Bicyclist fatally struck by Coaster train in San Diego

San Diego, CA–A northbound Coaster train struck and killed a bicyclist Sunday afternoon in San Diego, authorities said.
The incident occurred on the tracks around 3:25 p.m. on Washington Street, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
At this time, there is no train service between the Old Town station and the Santa Fe Depot. Officials from the North County Transit District advise passengers to travel to Santa Fe Depot on the MTS trolley route.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
