Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon returns to North County

Carlsbad, CA–The highly anticipated Carlsbad Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K, organized by In Motion Events, is set to take place on January 14, offering participants the thrill of scenic oceanfront running.
As an exciting precursor to the main event, the Kids Marathon Mile will unfold on January 13 at Legoland California Resort in Carlsbad. The race provides an opportunity for young participants to enjoy the theme park before it opens to the public. Registration for the Kids Marathon Mile is currently open.
A distinctive feature of the Kids Marathon Mile is its charitable impact. A portion of each registration fee will be directly donated to Merlin’s Magic Wand, the official charity partner of the event. Merlin’s Magic Wand is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a global reach, collaborating with Merlin attractions to create memorable experiences for children facing challenging circumstances.

The marathon presents a chance for participants to traverse a picturesque oceanfront course, accompanied by entertainment strategically placed along the route. The race is a part of the In Motion Events SoCal Triple Crown series, including the GOVX San Diego Half Marathon and 5K, and the America’s Finest City Half Marathon and 5K. Athletes completing all three races in the same calendar year, regardless of the distance, will earn a coveted SoCal Triple Crown medal.
