Carlsbad police, FBI search for man suspected of bank robbery

Carlsbad, CA–Carlsbad police and the FBI are seeking information from the public in identifying a man suspected of robbing a bank on December 21 in Carlsbad. 

The Carlsbad Police Department responded to a call around 2:41 p.m. of a robbery at US Bank at 770 Carlsbad Village Drive. 

According to police, a man entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking north on Jefferson Street. The suspect was described as having a light complexion with short dark hair and wore a white long-sleeve quarter zip sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, a dark-colored baseball cap, and a black face mask. 

Officers were unable to locate the suspect in the area. Detectives and FBI agents responded to the bank to conduct further investigation and process the scene for evidence.
