Man hospitalized after physical assault in Vista

Vista, CA–A 20-year-old man is hospitalized in serious condition after multiple people physically assaulted him early Saturday morning in Vista, authorities said.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Vista Village Drive, said Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Andrew Brumfield in a news release.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the man lying unconscious on the ground with multiple injuries to his body. Vista Fire Department medical personnel transported the victim to an area hospital. He is in critical, but stable condition, the Sheriff’s Department said.
According to deputies, no arrests have been made in the attack. The suspects are still at large.
Sheriff’s Department detectives are investigating the incident.
