Sheriff’s Dept. investigating a shooting at a residence in east county

Jamul, CA–The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on March 27 at a residence in an unincorporated area in the east county, authorities said.
The incident occurred at a house in the 2600 block of Bratton Valley Road just before midnight in Jamul.
There was a reported verbal argument about guests in the house being asked to leave. Five people got into a car and as they were driving away, shots were fired. The car was hit, but no one was hurt, the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
The incident was reported to the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station and Rural Command on March 28.
On April 13, a search warrant was served at the house where the incident occurred.
Michael Anthony Williams, 18 was arrested on several counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on $50,000 bail on April 14 just after midnight. He is expected to appear in an El Cajon courtroom on April 20.
Three of the passengers in the car were juveniles. It is the policy of the Sheriff’s Department not to release identifying information about minor victims.
