Encinitas, CA–Rancho Coastal Humane Society has teamed with Auto Nation Subaru in Carlsbad to promote Subaru Loves Pets Month, a campaign to place shelter animals into permanent homes before the holidays.
During October, the Subaru Loves Pets initiative showcases its commitment to animals through adoption events and other activities.
AutoNation Subaru is donating $100 for every pet adopted from the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas.
“It’s the perfect time to join paws and help get pets into homes before the holidays,” said John Van Zante, spokesman for Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
Subaru is also celebrating the 5th annual “National Make A Dog’s Day” on October 22. The auto dealer is asking the public to consider welcoming a pet into their home and their hearts.
Rancho Coastal Humane Society is also promoting Cartober, a campaign that seeks unused cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers, boats, or other vehicles from the public.
“It’s as easy as filling out the online donation form or calling to speak with a live operator. Your donation to Rancho Coastal Humane Society will help save the lives of abandoned animals,” Van Zante said. You don’t even need to be in San Diego. You can donate to RCHS from anywhere in the United States!”
Animal shelters have all types of dogs from purebred to mixed breed. The public can find puppies, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Some dogs were surrendered because their owners were no longer able to care for them. Others were lost or abandoned.
Shelter dogs have been vaccinated and examined for health and temperament.
Anyone not able to adopt an animal can volunteer, or become a virtual foster by sponsoring a pet.
“There are so many ways for animal lovers to help each other and to help their pets. Rancho Coastal Humane Society is thankful to Auto Nation Subaru for spearheading this effort here in San Diego and Southern California. Together, We Save Lives,” Van Zante added.
