18-year-old man killed in rollover crash in Escondido

Escondido, CA–An 18-year-old man died from his injuries Thursday at a local hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Escondido.
Escondido police responded to the collision Wednesday on southbound North Center City Parkway south of North Nutmeg Street.
According to investigators, the vehicle left the roadway, traveled up an embankment, and rolled several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle compartment. The driver was transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.
On Thursday, the victim, later identified as Preston Stubblefield, died from his injuries, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office stated in a news release.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
