Vista, CA–The Woman’s Club of Vista GFWC will have Lesia Cartelli, founder and CEO of Angel Faces, as its guest speaker at their October 11 meeting.
Angel Faces, a recipient of a cash donation from The Woman’s Club of Vista at last year’s Donation Day, is a national nonprofit organization providing healing retreats and ongoing support to girls and young women with severe injuries from burns or trauma. Angel Faces was created to transform the lives of adolescent girls who have severe permanent scars and disfigurement from traumatic events.
Cartelli herself endured severe burn injuries and subsequent scarring from a natural gas explosion as a child in 1969. She will speak to the club about her journey and the club’s support of Angel Faces.
The club’s meeting will start at 10 a.m. at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista. The meeting and luncheon is $25. RSVP by October 4 to womansclubofvistagfwc@gmail.com.
The Woman’s Club of Vista is celebrating 107 years of service and is a member of the International General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Daytime meetings are held on second Wednesdays at Shadowridge Golf Club. The Club is dedicated to service projects, volunteering, and philanthropy in North County San Diego.
