Camp Pendleton Marine killed in rollover crash in Oceanside

Oceanside, CA–A Camp Pendleton Marine was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Oceanside on Sunday, the Oceanside Police Department said.
Oceanside police responded to calls of a traffic collision around 5:27 p.m. at Oceanside Boulevard just West of Vine Street.
The 21-year-old driver, the solo occupant in the Ford F-150, was entrapped in his vehicle and unresponsive. Oceanside Fire Department personnel worked to extricate the driver.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
According to the Oceanside Police Department, preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling westbound on Oceanside Boulevard, passing Vine Street when he lost control of his truck and rolled over. The vehicle came to a rest upside down.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
