Fire crews contain vegetation fire in Valley Center

Valley Center, CA–Cal Fire crews stopped an eight-acre vegetation fire that erupted Sunday morning in Valley Center, fire officials said.

The blaze destroyed one building, and there were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. 

The 10-acre fire was first reported around 10:46 a.m. at 32475 Lilac Road in the Valley Center area. 

Crews will remain on scene to mop up and strengthen control lines, the San Diego County Fire Protection District Communications Bureau tweeted.

Information on the cause of the fire has not been released by fire officials.
