Gunshots strike Vista gas station, no injuries reported

Vista, CA–Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that shattered a gas station glass door early Sunday morning in Vista, authorities said.
The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Olive Avenue and North Melrose Drive. Multiple gunshots were fired and a vehicle was heard speeding away, Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Martha Hernandez said in a news release.
Deputies immediately responded and observed the glass door to the 76 Gas Station shattered. There was one employee inside the business at the time of the shooting who was not injured.
Deputies searched the area, but no suspect or vehicle was found.
The shooting remains under investigation.
