Padres announce Legacy Brick Program for Gallagher Square renovation

San Diego, CA–The San Diego Padres announced details surrounding their Legacy Brick Program as part of their Gallagher Square renovation project celebrating Petco Park’s 20th anniversary in 2024.

Fans who previously purchased a brick near the original Tony Gwynn statue location in Gallagher Square will have a new brick with their original inscription displayed created and installed at the new location. They will also have the opportunity to cement their legacy at America’s number one ballpark and etch their place in history by customizing an engraved brick to be laid in the new Tony Gwynn Terrace viewing deck alongside the existing bricks. The new deck will be home to the iconic “Mr. Padre” statue and provide great sightlines for games and other events while also being an ideal spot for picnics during public hours.

Legacy Bricks will range from $350-$650 and will be available exclusively in a pre-sale to Padres Season Ticket Members and partners by email from the Padres in the coming weeks. Padres fans who are not Season Ticket Members will be able to join an interest list at www.padres.com/bricks and will be notified should additional inventory become available.

In order to ensure that bricks are installed prior to Opening Day, all orders must be placed by January 15, 2024, with proceeds benefiting the Tony Gwynn Community All-Star program and other Padres Foundation community initiatives. A Padres Legacy Brick also serves as the perfect gift for Padres fans for the upcoming holiday season with those purchased by mid-November assured to be shipped in time for a Christmas delivery.
