Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Scenthoud to host adoptable foster dog event

Encinitas, CA–Looking for your furever friend? Adoptable foster dogs are looking for their forever homes at an adoption event this week.
On July 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, the public can meet adoptable foster dogs from Rancho Coastal Humane Society at Scenthound Dog Grooming Service’s first Foster Adoption Event in Carmel Valley.
The event will also include giveaways and information on adoption programs and services, continuing until 1 p.m.
“For a pet who has been abandoned, lost, or surrendered by its owner, the best place it can be is in an animal shelter. That’s where people go to adopt pets. Some pets need additional care provided by trained foster volunteers in their homes,” Rancho Coastal Humane Society spokesman John Van Zante said. “While it helps many pets to be in homes and not in shelters, it also limits the number of potential adopters they meet.”
The adoption event is open to potential adopters, anyone interested in learning more about fostering, or other Rancho Coastal Humane Society programs for people and pets, and animal lovers who just want to meet the foster dogs.
“While we would love to meet your four-legged friends from home, we are kindly asking that they do not attend this event. We want to keep the focus on the foster dogs available for adoption as they show off what they’re all about.”
Scenthound Grooming Service is located at 3840 Valley Centre Drive, Suite 601 in Piazza Carmel in Carmel Valley.
