Woman fatally struck in hit-and-run collision

Lemon Grove, CA–A female pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday at an intersection in Lemon Grove, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a report of a traffic collision, just after 12:30 a.m., at the intersection of Broadway and Harris Street. Deputies found a 40-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, a possible F-150 pickup truck had struck the woman and left the scene. The victim did not survive her injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the driver or vehicle information is unknown.
The Sheriff’s Department traffic unit is investigating the incident.
